This is probably owing to the fact that very few rooms in the home have quite the impact that a stylish kitchen can have. Why Mirrored Splashbacks?
Getting a quality glass splashback is one of the most effective ways of protecting the walls and keeping the kitchen and bathroom looking good. The advantages of mirrored glass over coloured splashbacks or digitally printed splashbacks is that they can not only be used to compliment any colour scheme or style; modern and traditional but a rooms colour palette can also be changed without affecting the splashback. Another advantage is that they can be used to wonderful effect in a smaller room; to make it look larger or in a darker room; to add brilliance and light. They are also easy to clean – a simple wipe with spray of glass cleaner and all those oils splatters vanish.
About Our Mirrored Splashbacks
Like our standard glass splashbacks our mirrored splashbacks are 6mm thick and can be cut, polished, shaped and drilled according to your bespoke designs. They are produced from ‘Pilkington Optimirror™’ a revolutionary and environmentally friendly product that is not only manufactured using low-iron glass, therefore giving it a far more brilliant and clearer appearance but it is also produced without the need for lead and copper; commonly used in the traditional manufacture of mirrors. This modern technology offers our mirrors a much greater resilience to natural atmospheric corrosion, which is the cause of unsightly spots and black edges, as well as protection against chemical attack from harsh household cleaning products. They also offer an extremely high performance in light reflectivity when compared with standard mirrors.
It is important to note that although our standard mirrored splashbacks are not toughened, if they are to be used in a particularly sensitive area, they can be produced with a special safety film which enhances the impact safety to comply with the standard EN 12600 2(B)2. In addition to this, the standard silver mirror is also available in bronze and grey.
Toughened Mirrored Splashbacks
We are now pleased to be able to offer Toughened Mirror Splashbacks that are both durable and heat resistant. These are also available in a 3 colour tints; silver, bronze and grey and owing to the effect of the toughening process, are ideally offered in lengths up to 2500mm.
